Hello everyone! I would like to get more information about this beautiful 1940s embroidered top (dated by the seller), if anyone is able to recognize some of its characteristics. It arrived with some flaws and I’ve been completely clueless on how to repair it.
It is decorated by embroidered flowers on the front and back, but it’s missing part of the embroidery in some spots. Can anyone tell me what kind of embroidery this could be? More importantly, what material should I use to fill those spots? I am so lost on what to do, is this wool yarn? Would sashiko thread be a good match? The last three photos are of the inside of the garment, so that you can see how the embroidery was done. Thank you to everyone :)

It looks like just standard long/satin stitch embroidery. My local Joann's sells embroidery wool, typically used in needlepoint, that might work. The difficulty will be color matching.
What makes the seller think 1940s?
Hello! Thank you so much for your suggestions. I’m hoping to be able to find similar materials, already anticipating that I won’t find a perfect color to match to the original embroidery. I’m honestly not sure…
I have been following this seller’s work and buying from her for two years, I just trusted her expertise. Even if it’s a more modern piece I still love it
