Help narrowing date of this black crepe dress from 50s/60s

Hi Everyone,
The only label on this dress is a Canadian Union Label that, according to the ebay union label guides puts this dress between 1956-possibly 1968. Is there any way to narrow that at all.
Also, would you call this a cocktail dress?

I think your dress is '60s, probably in the early to mid part of that decade.

I agree with Nicole, I've seen that gathered necklined with stand-up collar on other 60s dresses.

Yes I'd call it a cocktail dress.
