Help needed to date this fabric

Hi all
Bought this skirt off Ebay. The seller described the skirt as 1950s as she said it was quite a full skirt. I have been looking everywhere on line to find out the date and name of the fabric design but so far have found nothing even close to this so can anyone help. I can't find anything on the edges of the fabric to indicate the pattern name or designer.

Hi there, I'm afraid I don't see anything that looks like it could be 1950s from your photo. Could you please upload photos of the construction - the waist fastening, zip etc. seams, hem and a close up of the fabric in daylight.

I'm interested to know, was it described as '1950s style' or true 1950s vintage?

I have included several better photos.
It was described as "True vintage maxi skirt from 1950s or 1960s the seller thought"
The construction is 5 triangles with the points taken off and then sewn together to make a full skirt, the stripes go with the grain of the fabric.
There is the gap for a zip but it looks like it was taken out at some point as there is some damage to the bottom of the gap where the zip should be.
The main seams are machine sewn but the waistband and hem are finished by hand, none of the vertical seams have been finished in anyway. Where there is damage on the waistband I can see that the top edge of the skirt has been finished of with pinking shears before the waistband was put on. There is elastic in the waistband and unstretched that is 31in, the hem of the skirt is just over 3 metres around so this is quite full.

The striped fabric is good quality cotton, kind of patchwork weight cotton. Hopefully the photos show that the background colour is a very pale grey.
From what I can see there is nothing about this that definately points to this being 50s or 60s but I was just curious about the fabric pattern

Thanks, the close ups show the fabric itself does look as though it could be mid-century, the design of the skirt doesn't feel that old to me though. Is it a full circle skirt? can you show it laid flat so I can see the panels and print layout? Is that a channel under the waistband on the last photo or just an added piece of fabric?

The fabric looks '50's to me. I would describe the pattern as a figured stripe. It looks like a multi-purpose fabric that could be used for clothing, for draperies or cushion covers, etc. The skirt looks home sewn. I own a couple of vintage shirts that are '50's that are shaped like this one that do not have zippers. There are places for the zips but they were either never installed or were removed. Your skirt is pretty long so I think it most likely is from the 1950's (or the 1980's) because of the length. I think it is probably 1950's. Let's see what others say.

It reminds me of some of the fashions(?) shown in hippy, make it yourself clothing guides - not very skillfully made, long and sort of clumsy looking, and using found fabric. . I sold several such books in a previous yard sale. It looks like quality fabric, but it would not usually have been used to make a skirt.
