Help on fabric and collar treatment on L\'Aiglon Dress.

The fabric is really different and I just don't know how to describe. I don't want to say "crewel" because that makes be think of a heavy yarn embroidery.

It is actually kind of sheer, I held it up to my ceiling light here

Last, how would you describe the collar?

hmmmm, I think I would call the fabric an embroidered lace net. I may
go with modified cowl on the neckline, as it really doesn't appear to
drape too much.

Nice cinnamon mocha shade :)

Susan, does the fabric have any small squares or is it more like curtain
sheers? If it is more like sheers, than it is probably an organdy.

I have to check when I go home, I can not remember. I think is was a smooth fabric. Figures I just listed it. Well I am sure no one will bid on in the next 2 hours until I go home and check!
 
I do remember the tag said 100% Cotton and it is dry clean only. Would organdy be cotton?

If you look at the photo I have up to the light, it looks like tiny squares doesn't it?
