Help please - crushed velvet vintage blazer...

I've seen this designer label a few times, but am drawing a blank, and can't pin down the decade either. Photos attached of the label, button and fabric detail, as well as the size tab.
The intricate buttons are also on the sleeve cuffs.
Thank you in advance for all of your input, as always. :)
UPDATE: I found the designer in the label resource section - GENNY !!!
off to research, but any insight is still welcome!

Yes, it's Genny :). And you're not the first to ask the same question - their logo is indeed hard to read!

Thank you for confirming. I kept thinking it was a short lived 'Givenchy' signature lol.
Would you have any insight into the approx. time period of the blazer/jacket? I'm leaning towards late 70s/80s and it may have been part of a (pant) suit ensemble?

I haven't found much information online matching label types to time periods or specific designers at Genny. Apparently Mr. Versace himself was the creative director/designer for a good decade(?) along with other notable designers like Christian Lacroix; I don't think Versace used synthetics in his creations?

The Genny label seems to have been the same since forever, I know it was the same logo/signature in my grandma's Genny suit from the 80s, and I have bought newer Genny second hand, so hard to tell by that. With that relatively detailed fabric information in multiple languages, I suspect though your jacket is somewhere from the 90s onwards.
Genny is not a "cheap" brand, but still mass-produced to a certain extent, so well possible to find synthetic materials there. As you might also find Versace ready to wear items - which is a whole different world from haute couture. So the jacket being made of synthetic fabric is to my mind not a pointer towards a certain designer. According to our Label Resource, Versace worked at Genny in the 70s, so probably well before this jacket was made.

Fascinating info. I enjoy researching and learning about all things vintage. Thank you for the additional insight.

The label, with information for multiple countries, suggests '90s and I bought several metres of that exact rayon velvet (colour and all) with that unusual sort of striped crush, in 1995 if that helps.

Very helpful. And, I should have known it was from the 90s as I seem to be drawn to that decade like a magnet, of late... Thank you.
