Help to date this knit cardigan

Would appreciate any help to date this piece as it has no tag and I am going back and forth between it being as old as the early 70s because of the lurex, gemstone buttons and fake pockets to being completely modern era.

I would say early to mid 80s.

it’s a hard call, but I’m thinking modern.

I see a lot of Lurex knitwear from the 70s, less so in the 80s. But it isn’t really saying 70s to me.

the buttons and the mix of colours are saying modern to me.

It’s fab, I like it.

It looks 70s, it looks French but I think it more likely late 90s.
