Help! Vietnam Converse Style Duck Shoes

Hi!
I found these and have no idea what they are or when they are from. Any help would be great.
They are similar to a recent converse remake with a similar lower rubber duck sole.

They look like military issue sneakers. Vietnam era would be my guess, and although they blacked out the maker's name on the back I would bet they are by Converse -- and I do remember reading somewhere about another company that had a contract making running shoes for the U.S. Army.

Thanks a bunch Jonathan! Yeah I was hoping that they were converse but wasn't sure. I haven't seen any with this kind of label and the most similar ones that I have seen have been felt bottom (supposedly for fishing). Thanks again!
