Hi,

Could someone please help me w-dating this dress. Its so beautiful..How much would do u think its worth..My computer has a bug..some of my keys arent working..ugh..

Also, how do u learn about the tags..Any good sources to go..thanks..Deb

I was justing looking at another post and this dress does have padded shoulders and w-thread remmants..whatever that means. Does this mean late 40s..

Lovely dress but it looks like an 80's summer time dress to me. Even how the tag is constructed and that dry cleaning tag looks modern as well.
Should do well though as all the spring stuff is coming out in the shops now!
 
It is 80s. Many of the 80s styles were heavily influenced by the 40s. There are lots of things to look for to differentiate. Plastic zippers, overlocked seams polyester... these are on later garments. After a while you will be able to tell just from the look and feel of the garments because there are also style and fabric differences.
