Help w/ Scarves.....E Jubie\'s of London? & More...

These came from the same estate as the Ferragamo & Gucci shoes.....the one where the clothing is supposed to be shipped to the lawyer in NY. The lady running it here brought in these scarves yesterday & a slew of gloves (seriously gorgeous ones....embroidered kid leathers, leathers w/ nylon whipstitching in pink & aqua at edges, some with very "New Look" cuffs....and there are more coming!). Anyway, she did tell the lawyer I will BUY ALL THE CLOTHING...all of it.....come get it & get it all out of the condo. She said he "perked up" at that, so it still may be a go!!! Within the box of belts I found 3 heavily beaded Malcolm Starr belts that clearly GO with dresses.....between that and seeing her stellar deisgner accessories (many never worn, many purchased in duplicate or triplicate!), I cannot imagine whats in this wardrobe!! Wish me luck!

OK, anyway. Scarves. This one had me fooled into thinking I'd found my 1st Hermes.....but its only marked "E. Jubie's LONDON".....or, something like that. Googling that gets me nothing.....am I reading it wrong?

This one is signed by 2 artists...Wesley Simpson & Peter Todd Mitchell. Anyone have experience w/ these and to whom are they selling? Fashion folk or collectors of artwork?

This one is gorgeous, and huge. All silk. Marked only "Valditevere", anything important or just a pretty scarf? Thanks so much......Ang

WOW!!! You are lucking out... good for you!

I don't know about the others, but the Wesley Simpson has me stumped - it looks so modern and he stopped in the late 40s didn't he? Or is that another Wesley Simpson?

I'll take the Wesley Simpson... No wait, this isn't the yard sale???? Drat.

I don't know if anyone collects the Wesley Simpson ones, but that one is really great. I've been wanting one forever!

from the label resource:

WESLEY SIMPSON

Wesley Simpson was the husband of designer Adele Simpson. He designed fabrics, and they were used not only by Adele, but by other designers of the period. Simpson often collaborated with other artists, including Dali and Marcel Vertes. Often in magazine ads from the 1940s you'll see his name along with the designer of the dress. Designers like Claire McCardell used his fabrics. Simpson closed his business around 1950.

Wow, thanks!!! I didnt think to look at the label resource, thought he was an artist & not really involved so much in fashion.....how cool!!! I wonder which artist did which part of that scarf. Fascinating!!! Ang
