Help wanted re: 1970s (?) jacket and vest dating

Hi There All,
I"ve been assuming this is a late 70s number? Any thoughts on whether its much later? ALso wondering how to describe the weave?

I would actually put that as late 1960s/early 1970s. The Italians would have been a bit ahead of the US fashion-wise. This look with the high-fastening 6 button double breasted jacket with the buttons set closer together down the front shows up mid to late 1960s in my reference books. That is a desireable label and your set with its self-fabric covered buttons is unique.

No trousers?
 
A couple photos showing similar style DB front jackets - first one is from 1966 and second is from 1967. The second is of an 8 button jacket which is a bit rare but you still get the idea with the stance and setting of the buttons.

no, unfortunately. It's in such beautiful shape and wonderfully tailored....which doesn't really show in these photos as my dummy isn't the greatest.
