HELP! Wedding dress fabric

I'm hoping some of you can help me with this. I have a vintage 1940's Carol Gown by Mr. Walter with no fabric content label. I have someone who wants to buy it but needs to know if it is synthetic fabric (she's allergic) or a silk jersey of some kind. There is a little stretch to the fabric. I know it's extremely difficult to tell from a picture but I was curious what everyone thinks! Thanks in advance for your help! ;)

I agree with 1960s to early 1970s on the dating. We cannot determine a fiber without having the dress in hand, but it looks like a knit, and looks like it may have some synthetic in it, from the way it drapes on your dress form. If you can snip a tiny bit of the seam allowance or hidden bit of fabric, a burn test will determine if it is a synthetic or not. It is very pretty, but not 1940's era.

Yes, I did a burn test and it burned like polyester. Does that seem right? THank you on your help for dating this piece! I am constantly learning and I appreciate it! :)

Definitely early 70s due to the style and that trim was one of the most popular trims used during the late
60s and 70s.

It's amazing because it reminds me so much of my mum's wedding dress (she married 1974). Hers was just made by a friend but it's lovely to see this.
