Help with 50's Cardigan Sweaters

Hi all, I'd like to buy some true vintage cardigans from the 1950's but there are so many modern reproductions of 50's style, that I'm not sure what I'm buying. Can someone educate me on the tell-tale signs to look for when determining if a cardigan is truly from the 1950s vs modern retro ? Thank you !

The most useful clue is the label, if present. Not all vintage cardigans will have their labels still, but if they do, they certainly look vintage, and can guide you in searching for what you want in the sweater. Do you wanted beaded? Cashmere? Wool bouclé? Angora? Lambswool/angora/nylon blend? Here are a few labels:

I would also add, care labels. Modern, of course, would have the symbols that we see in modern clothing.
