Is there a particular name for these "wing-like" panels on the back of this dress?? Each one is folded in half with only the tips sewn on the top end. tia!

I don't see them as a wrap to the front, but I would try them tied together in back. Looks like a killer dress.

Stunning!!!!

I do think flyaway panels is what they're typically called, though I think the panels I've seen are usually stitched on for a longer seam across. I'd also try tying them in back and see how that looks.

Can they criss cross wrap to the waist as a waist sash?

I think they are meant to just fly, but it might be a neat effect.

Although if there are belt loops, that would negate that idea.

The more I look at those panels, the more I think they were likely meant to be tied, loosely and in a (loose) square knot, probably, draped for a "V" effect, if they will be so kind as to fall that way..... Or straight across the top of the back, perhaps in a large, loose bow. I think they are too narrowly attached at the top to function as true flyaway panels. They look more like ties to me. Whatever they're meant to be, that dress is really awesome.
