Hi To All,
I had such a fun day at my local St.Vincent de Paul (Vinnies). I found this wedding dress with cape. I haven't seen such a wedding accessory before. The cape has snaps and hooks and loops and I am not sure where they would attach. Any info much appreciated as well as a confirmation of my dating stab.
Also, is there a term for these sleeve cuffs that taper and end in a snap?
Thanks alot,
Lauren

I don't think that's a cape. It's likely an overskirt/train. check the back waist or yoke for corresponding thread loops that the train will hook onto. :)

Okay, my train's between my legs.
Duh, yep, there are several (very discrete!) hooks along the waist and the snaps are under the bow.
Thanks so much. It looked a bit Pope like otherwise!

Golly the VFG ladies are on the ball today! You won't be the first person to think a train (or detachable skirt) was a cape :)

Another vote for '60s, early to mid I'm thinking.
