Help with a 60s or 70s ?? Maxi dress or is it a floor length gown?

Always get troubled or stuck on this sort of thing....gown or maxi? 60s or early 70s?
also, is there a name (I can't remember it for the life of me) for this crossover bodice?

Hi Lauren,

I tend to use "gown" for evening wear and "maxi" for styles that are less formal, more day. I'd call yours an early '70s maxi. Yes to cross over bodice too, or you could use surplice bodice but the term isn't as widely used.

I find wrap bodice is more searched, and I would probably call that a shelf bust but it's debatable.
