Help with a Chanel belt

I have here a belt my client brought in for me which he recently had fixed by Chanel in Bond Street. However he is not sure when his mother originally bought it. 1970's? But then again could be early 1990's. I have had no luck finding one similar.

Could someone help me shed a little more light on which decade it might be from. The buckle measures 2.5 inches in height and the smaller discs 1.5. The discs have coloured glass and the centre has an opaque coloured glass in it. The Chanel stamp is on the back along with 621. Needless to say it is very heavy.

It looks 60's 70's to me, but I would try asking Chanel, with that backstamp they may well have the records for it.
 
I spoke to Chanel and they seem to be the only fashion house who refuse to authenticate, date or give any information on vintage items. Unless you go there and spend money, according to someone I know.
