Help With A Crocheted Purse

I have this tiny crocheted purse (at least I think it is a purse) that I need help dating. It doesn't feel like traditional crochet but more stretchy like nylon or another man made material. The purse itself is only 5 by 5 inches but the "handle" is 28 inches. Thanks!





 
Hi,

I cannot be sure, but this looks fairly modern to me. Partly is the cording is stretchy. Also, I have a seen very similar little purses sold in San Francisco in China Town, in both black and ecru. I have a few stashed away and this looks very similar, right down to the very long handles. I can't be sure though.

I've noticed that older (30s, 40s) crocheted corde purses are lined.
