Help with a dress

Hi all- Sorry for all the questions this week! I'm really stumped by this dress!

Its white and made of a linen like material- I think it might be polyester because it does NOT wrinkle at all. There is elastic at the waist. I was thinking late 70s or 80s, but there is only one little paper tag inside that says "lot size 16" without a brand label or anything, which is kind of throwing me off as I thought brands were pretty pervasive at that point. Also, the style is really hard for me to nail down to any era. Any help? here are a few photos. Thanks so much! Muah, muah!

I believe you are right about late 70s to 80s (I'm leaning toward late 70s), and almost certainly the fabric is a synthetic or blend.

It's a plain work dress from the mid 70s.

and I think its a poly cotton blend ive run across thos a bit.... the small pilling lets you know there is a bit of cotton to it but its not really yellowed which cotton does and poly stays white... so poly cotton
