I found this cute little day dress in the bins at goodwill the other day- its nothing too special but its bothering me that I can't put my finger on a date! I was thinking 70s because of the rope belt and shape- but then the pattern made me think 60s. Of course, its handmade so its probably impossible to nail it down exactly but i would love to hear ya'lls thoughts!
Thanks!!

You're welcome :) Yes, early 70's I'd say. I've had quite a few 70's pieces with a rope-style belt. It can be difficult dating clothing especially if there's no manufacturing labels to go by or if the garment is home-made.

It really is super little frock. It looks like it's been finished nicely. Is that piping I can see around the neckline and arm holes? Cute! :sunshine:

Thanks so much! I have found a lot of rope belts too- its good to know thats an early 70s thing! Yep, there is piping, lots of hand stitching, its really well made!

Didn't realise you had an Etsy shop. I've just hearted you (and the frock)!

You're in North Carolina are you? I've got very good friends that live in Cary, NC. Is that anywhere near you? :)

Yes, I've just checked your Etsy store too and delighted that you specialise in Plus sizes :excited: and there's a real sweet dress I rather like..... :drooling22:

oh! Thanks! Yep- I try to specialize in plus sizes- which is kind of hard, but i think i have a good selection of things that are at least large or plus!

Louise- I think Cary is about 4 hours away from where I live in Asheville. NC is a looooong state!
