Help with age and origin Embroidered coat

I recently aquired this fabulous embroidered coat/duster in Arizona. It is a very thin wool and heavily hand embroidered. It feels much older than the 60's. I've been doing research on ethnic embroidered items to try to identify the pattern. Anyone have an idea on Country of origin and age? Thank you in advance!

That is beautiful. It looks a lot like Kashmiri embroidery from India. Is it a chain stitch or a plain stitch? Can you show a close up of the stitches? And is the embroidery the same on both sides (that is, reversible in its look)? Is the embroidery silk or wool?

These can be difficult to date. I had one that was 1930s, in a muted pink color wool, very thin, with black designs. Sometimes the color mix and length can be a clue, if it was for import.

I can't help date it, either but I agree with Barbara that it is Indian in origin.

Yes - I immediately thought of Kashmiri work as well. Hard to date, because that embroidery style has been used for decades. Total guess - 50s?
