Help with Alaia Leopard Coat

I just purchased an Alaia Faux Leopard coat and am wondering if anyone could help me here with authentification as well as dating the piece. I am new here so if I am not in the correct place to be asking this, any help in the right direction would be appreciated...Brian

I can't authenticate it from the images you've loaded but the label is similar to the '80s one in label resource.

Thanks I did see that one in the label resources as well. What specifically would be needed to authenticate this? I have been looking and doing google searches, trying to learn about this. It would seem that this was a very imprortant piece and would have been very expensive in its time. It is so exciting trying to find clues and info?? Thanks, Brian
