I have not seen quite this hat style before. Made in France, velvet, with beaded (paisleys?,) and one at the top that sticks up. Is it 50's? Is there a name for it? Thank you in advance.

Pretty--I love the beaded paisleys!

I agree that it's 1950s, and would call it a cocktail hat in a half hat silhouette.

It looks to me like the hat is backwards in your second two photos, but properly front to back in the first.

I know it appears that way, but it is the same exact placement in all, just different views. The tag is in the back center. It's the only way it can be worn, if I put it on with tag in the front it's impossible the way it's shaped, I tried. It is asymmetrical and each side is different. I just turned the head around for photos.

Thank you for your help! I assumed 50's, but it is such an odd shape, no matter which side you are looking at. But I actually like it strangely enough. Would look better on a real head with hair though by far!!!
