Help with crinolines

Okay, folks, one last post for the night.

I've been wanting to get a crinoline for a while but it occurred to me tonight that I've got a bunch of netting (of various colors but who's going to see that?) and other fabrics. Maybe I can just sew up my own crinoline?

Does anyone have a pattern for one or an idea of how much yardage in the netting department I might need for a short crinoline? Such as one I would want to show off a circle skirt?

I think it should be fairly simple Patti (although this is coming from someone who hasn't!) - my friend has no sewing skills whatsoever and she made one up for a wedding she was going to quite simply and quickly if I remember.

I don't have a pattern but I can imagine you would just need a few layers depending on the fullness, and sew them onto a sash? Or maybe elastic..
