Help with dating and identifing the name for some lace.

I got a GIANT piece of this beautiful lace and am trying to learn about it. It is black with a very thing metallic gold thread and a design with flowers and leaves. The thread isn't actually metal, but maybe metal coated or wrapped? It's so thin it's hard for me to tell. The whole piece feels cold like metal and a little heavier than you'd expect. What would this be called, and when do you think it dates to? Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Gilt lace is popular in the 1910s-20s and yours is machine made. You won't be able to find a name for this type of lace because its not made using lace stitching or traditional patterns - its simply a machine-made lace.
