Sorry - first time here! I hope I'm not posting this twice but it didn't seem to work the first time!
I'm wondering if anyone can help me with these earrings? I think they look 60s, but really not sure!
I dont know why you are having a problem getting your pictures to load....but instead of starting a new thread each time, just hit the reply button on the same thread.
I'm sure someone will come along shortly to help in your picture dilemma.
Thanks Pinky - I have hit reply for this one but can't see anyway on this screen to upload a picture. When I do it from the new topic screen I hit browse, but once the picture is located nothing seems to happen, it just sits there and doesn't appear in the preview before I post.
I don't think it does appear before u post if u are using the attach function. Just hit browse, select ur photo and then hit post. If it is too big it will tell u then.
I do reccomend using photobucket or other similar service. Upload ur photos then just paste the img (you will see once you upload a pic) code right into ur message here. Works great and very easy.
Yes, you won't see your photo in the post preview if you are attaching from your computer. And you can only attach 1 photo to a post. It's much easier to use a photo-hosting site like Photobucket (the base version is free), upload your pics to there, then copy and paste the image codes into the body of your post!
Also, on the post reply option at the bottom of the thread is a "quick reply" it wont have the attachment option.
You have to hit the grey reply button on the far right top or bottom of the thred. There are 3 buttons, New topic, New Poll and Post Reply.... clicking on that Post Reply will take you to the reply box that you are looking for with the attachments.
Also you can edit your original post. If you look at your box there are bluish button on the bottom of just your box and on the top right.... the buttons you should see are Edit, Quote and Report
Just click on the edit button to put change your post and insert pictures. when you are done click the bottom edit post grey button. That is the same thing as "finished" Hope that helps
I would describe your earrings as clip earrings that are reminiscent of the shape of a shell, decorated with gold-tone braided trim accented by tiny round faux turquoise balls. I'd give the measurements and show them in the position that they would be worn on the ear. They are meant to "hug" the ear., and I'd flip the photo of the backs so the clip opening is at the bottom.
I "think" they are late 1950's - early 1960's - but I'd like to see the finish on the inside of the earrings. There are some really good new earrings made in China that mimic older ones.
Thanks again! I have just discovered this forum and have to say I LOVE it! You are all so friendly as well as informative! Many happy hours of trawling through old posts here!!
