Hi Everyone, I'd never seen this make of fedora and found in my searches that Sammy was a Hatter in Toronto credited in places on the Internet with 'inventing' the famous Hat Trick (3 goals in one game by a given player) ....I see in Wikipedia that it was a cricket term....in any case.....

1. Wondering about a date....
2. Wondering if theres a way to remove what looks like an ink stain on the ribbon...also if theres a way to flatten the wrinkle out of said ribbon or whether to abandon hat-ship?

Thanks alot,
Lauren

oops....pre holiday rush head...

That does look like an ink stain. The first thing I would do is see how the ribbon is attached, if at all. As you risk damaging the hat trying to remove the stain while on it. If you can remove it whole I would. You can get an ink eraser pen for standard school ink pens (intended for paper, yes) but I would test if this removes the colour of the ribbon first on the back of the bow for example, then if all was well try a tiny spot on the ink.

The hat looks 50's to early 60's to me.
