Help with dating short silk dress (?)

I would say from the length and cut of this one that it is from the later 1960s. There is no Made in China label anywhere on it as this is where these came from.

I agree with Mary Jane: 1960s and made in China. Lovely hand worked detailing.

Beautiful detailing, as Nicole says, and I agree 60s. Older "made in China" silk garments are usually well made and the silk is of lovely quality.

Thanks everyone. It really is lovely fabric, so soft and the stitching in the inside is incredibly even, finished beautifully.

I find the quality can be really amazing with some of the '60s Chinese pieces: I've seen many entirely hand sewn, and of such skill and fineness. In more modern times, "made in China" isn't seen as a positive but it all comes down to the quality (regardless of the country of origin).
