i have this pretty blue "open-weave" type dress. no labels, simple design (sheath?) with attached self-tie waist sash, bust darts.

could be this 1960's era ?

thanks in advance for any help you can provide,
Connie

I wouldn't call it a sheath unless the waist nips in just a little or you see some structure like bust darts. From the photos, it looks like its pretty straight or the waist could be just an inch or two different than the hips. I would simply call it a "sweater dress" and I would show an alternate photo with the dress belted with not the self-belt but a thick black belt, etc. Do you think it might be an acrylic? If the skirt part is more a-line, it would be a shift silhouette.

i think it is an acrylic as it machine washes great. the sash tie is actually attached on one side.

it's a nice larger size too. i'll take better photos before i list it.

thanks !

Like a long tunic-style ensemble? If that would be the case, It'd def. be more likely 70s.
