Help With Fabric Type, Dress Style, Etc.

Well, I have this gorgeous spaghetti strap party dress with a matching bolero - and I'm not sure what the fabric type is called. Can anyone help by looking at the photos ?

Also, it appears this is a VERY well-made homesewn or custom tailored dress - there are no labels.

Not really a trendy dress, but certainly a classic offering. Any idea how to date this ? I was thinking 1980's ??

I think I'm safe to use the word Party in the descrition - any other suggestions ?

l think from the pic that its watermarked tafetta, you'll know if its silk tafetta or not, probably from the quailty and price you paid!
the stle and bolero is definately 80's, proabbly 1982-86...l would say!
 
I love the color! And agree with Sara's dating. Pink (that still grabs attention) Taffeta Full-Skirt Party Dress w/Bolero? Probably too long--for this one I'd use the subtitle/gallery/listing designer package and use the subtitle for things like Spaghetti Strap & to describe the taffeta. We used to call this a "Moire Taffeta" in the fabric store....

yep..... agree with the fabric desciptions above. Super pretty dress.... but.... be careful about the picture size you post online...... Slower mode computers will have a hard time opening the really large ones! Just FYI.
