Help with Fred A Block blazer, please.

I just got this wonderful Fred A Block blazer which I believe is from the 1940s (?). It has massive shoulder pads sewn inside the jacket which makes it heavy!! I only have the blazer, but was wondering what would have been the bottom half. Pencil skirt? A line skirt? Do you think this would have been sold as a complete suit or just the blazer on its own? Thanks!

I know he went into the jewelry business, but was he also known for the embellishments on his clothing? I've seen other blazers by him that look like they've met up with the bedazzler!

I would bet on a straight skirt, not necessarily as slim as a pencil skirt. That's a neat jacket - I like Fred A. Block's suits.
