Help with good costuming website please!

I am delving into wardrobing for the Jr. High play again...Beauty and the Beast this year. Challenging but fun.

We need to construct some of the more complicated characters like Cogsworth the clock and Madame de la Grande Bouche (the bureau). This is where I need big help! Any good websites you can think of to guide us in working with foam, lightweight wood/cardboard, etc.???? I have ideas but am not sure if I am going in the right direction.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

Otherwise:

When I started making some Lord of the Rings (LOTR) costumes, this costuming website was a big help:
http://www.alleycatscratch.com/

It's a little hard to navigate, and you might wonder what LOTR has to do with your costumes, but when making other costumes I've come back to this site time and time again for the tutorials on all kinds of projects.

Have a look at this page as an overview of some of the resources on the site:

Specifically for using craft foam, thin thermoplastics, and cardboard - there's a lot of information in "Armor Cheats":
http://www.alleycatscratch.com/lotr/Armor/ArmorCheats.htm

Cardboard costumes are a "thing" in SF/Fantasy fan circles. It's sort of like - anyone can have a screen-accurate shiny white plastic Star Wars stormtrooper costume, but making one that looks good from cardboard - now that's hardcore!

So, "cardboard costume" is not a bad search term to find tutorials and examples of what can be done with cardboard. I'd specifically look in places like Instructables.com or ehow.com.

Here are some I found that look interesting:
