I agree with late 50s/early 60s - Thought you might like a bit about Dache from the Milliner's List (p. 412) of the new edition of Vintage Hats & Bonnets:
"...Dache emigrated to New York in 1924 after working at Talbot and Reboux...she briefly held a job at Macy's; then worked at a small milliner's shop, The Bonnet Shop on 77th St; she soon saved enough to buy the shop. Ca. 1926 she opened her own salon... ".
In the late 50s, when the teased or backcombed beehive hairdos signaled big trouble for milliners, many created new "mod" labels to entice "Mod" women - "Dachettes" was one of Dache's, as was "Lilly's Dillys" Sue
