I've had this item FOREVER! In fact, I think I found it when I was living in Hawaii... and for those here who know me, that was a LONG TIME AGO!

Anyway... I think it's kinda neat. Very "gladiator" in a way, with the bottom pieces. What should I call those? Petals? Flounces? No.. that's not right, huh? Ideas? They are not connected at all except at the top.
Plus, it's got very organic, fluid seams... assymetrical and very Mugler.

And, most importantly.. I've always thought this was a dress... but now I'm thinking that it was intended as a tunic? Worn bunched up on the hips? What do you think? When worn as a dress, that seamed section is too snug, even on my skinny mannis. It just doesn't seem right.
But.. before I list, I wanted to see what y'all thought.

Or should I market is as both?

That's what I'm thinking, Harriet.
I really do like it as a tunic...

Another big problem... how do I measure this thing?????

It's listed as a size "42"... but being Italian made, that translates into a US 8. But this was made in the 80's, right? So I'm stymied! What do I do?

Don't you just love having no underarm seams, lol!

I would give the hip measurement, length measurement.. you could give waist and bust for the sake of it I suppose.

I have no clue how to equate it to a modern size.

It really rocks though, I'd love to wear it! :love008:

l see them worn with leggin's in 80s and little pumps.......
if fact born again....yes...what size is this?

I remember this dress! (if this is the one you mulled over in the past few years, and showed it with it pulled all the way down)

It makes more sense hiked up.

Could this be a minidress? Where it with really awesome tall boots? and or tights?

it wouldn't be AS mini as a gal of average height. And I think it looks better on this manni as opposed to your older one.
