Help with some shoes please!

Hi! I recently acquired some really great shoes - and I have no idea what decade they are from!

I would really appreciate any links/comments on where I can obtain such information!

here is the first pair:

And these awesome shoes, I can't read the manufacturers label in this pair.

The first pair look to be 40s to me. They are red cross though and their styles stayed in place for a long time.

Second pair I am guessing 60s, but wait for others as I am no shoe guru!

Ditto for me. This is exactly what I was thinking too. Wait for Jonathan though as he will likely be able to pinpoint the dates for you.

Yeah that's the problem with dating red cross. They were fairly conservative, so don't always expect a pair of shoes to date to the year when the particular style was cutting edge. I would say sometimes they lag by 6 years or so and popular styles lingered longer, but I am no expert on them.
