I don't know much about purses. Is there a name for this style of bag? The top of the bag has 2 wooden slats through which the straps are threaded. Would the design be considered celtic? I'm at a loss as to how to describe this...

There are no labels. The interior pockets look like the type made for stashing cell phones and credit cards, so perhaps this was made recently.

Thanks, I look forward to your thoughts.

Bags of made that kind of piled cloth are often described as carpet bags (originally carpet bags were large travel bags made of patterned carpets or rugs, but now the term is used more loosely).

As you have noted, the pockets suggest it is pretty recent, I'm no expert but would say 1990s at the earliest, and possibly very new.

I don't see anything especially celtic in the the design. It's a nice bag - very boho.
