I admit I am clueless about sunglasses and these are really cool!
Very dark plastic lenses, black painted metal frames, plastic ends with no seaming. No marks of any kind. Missing the little nose bridge pieces. All metal screws and hinge pieces.
That's a good suggestion actually. I'd forgotten until I saw the photo again! Would also explain the colour choice, which is less common I think than the brighter colours for the 60s...
I lean towards the 80s too. There was that look in the middly 80s when these retro-looking round glasses were popular - worn with wartime looking turbans, long, chemise dresses, roman sandals, and BIG earrings.
