help with this dress

hello

i acquired this dress of off ebay a couple of years ago and i can't seem to place it...someone suggested it might be 70s, it was originally listed as 40s. it comes from an american seller and has a metal zipper. any ideas very welcome! thank you!

Hmm. Well... looking at the front, I can see why someone suggested 70's. Maybe early 80's. But the close up of the back has me thinking early 50's. Can you show the zipper? Is there a tag? Can you show a closeup of the front?

hello and thanks for the reply. unfortunately i don't have the dress here and these are the only pictures... it's a side metal zipper, talon i think. no tags unfortunately. the collar actually has some long string ties that you can see a little in the back. strong bust darts, proportions 32'' bust, 24'' waist and 44" long. shoulders damaged from improper storage, hidden by collar
