just trying to figure out an actual name and if they are army, pilot & and aprox age..I am not good with mens items.

I don't know anything about uniforms but the buttons around the waist and on the fly suggest a date prior to 1950. The earliest pair of zippered trousers I've come across, was a suit with the date of 1949 written inside of the pocket by the tailor.
The buttons on the waist to hold up the suspenders was common from the Victorian era to the 1940's but these aren't antique. I'd probably say that they are from the second world war era.

I am not sure - but agree they look WW2. Maybe the militaria boards on ebay would be a good place to try if you get no more hints here -I think they're supposed to be very helpful, as well as knowledgable :)

You may have bought them in Canada but they aren't Canadian Military issue. If they were wartime they woulc have a C with a broad arrow motif to represent Canadian military wartime issue. They may be post war but they still aren't Canadian because all Canadian military clothing is dated with a brown stamp mark. They look American to me but I know little about AMerican military clothing so I can't help you much there.

That would make the US at the beginning of the line of code more meaningful!

I'm sure someone must know what all that means. What's the little blue stamped bit - I can't quite make it out?

I agree they are old...However, I wanted to mention that the US military still uses buttons on the fly. No zippers on everyday (BDU) military uniforms! The dress uniforms do have zippers now.
