HELP with this label!! Possible vintage EQUIPMENT brand

So, I came across this shirt and need some help on this label. I know about the Equipment brand that we know today that was revived in 2009/10 that was originally launched in 1975 by Christian Restoin. I am wondering if this is THAT Equipment brand and a really early piece, or if I’m completely off base. I’m definitely a work in progress with vintage items, so I need some help. No amount of googling I’ve done has helped me come up with this label. This was made in France and looks older to me, so I’m hoping someone can help me out.

A friend grabbed this for me and sent me pictures of the labels. So, I’m waiting on it to get here. When it does, I will add full pics. I am dying to know if this is vintage Equipment. Did you recognize the label at all or have any thoughts on it without seeing the full garment?

Just by the label itself it does look like an older label (font etc) but we do need to evaluate all aspects of construction and silhouette.

Is it the legit Equipment brand? I’ve seen a few different labels for Equipment, but never this one. Is there some secret place to research labels that us amateurs don’t know about? ;)

I think you might contact Equipment and see if they have an in-house historian who could help identify the label?
