hi,
i have this neat vintage elizabeth arden open-weave sweater, made in italy.

i checked the label resource but was wondering if this was 70's or 80's ?

Also, the fabric label is no longer legible. Can anyone help with the yarn type ? mohair blend maybe ?

thanks in advance
Connie

Hard to tell if it's mohair or angora blend from the pic. If it's mohair the fibers will be longer and lustrous if it's angora they should be very soft and fluffy. Mohair comes from a goat (coincidently called an angora goat) and angora a rabbit.
The white fibers in your sweater look like angora (rabbit) to me but I would need to feel it.
I think it's early 80s but let some of the others weigh in on that before you decide.

I agree with Melody: more likely to be angora, and looks like early '80s. Are there any content labels, perhaps down the side seam? A jumper (sweater) from the '70s or '80s should have one.
