Henri Bendel label Era

Hi I am gifting this fabulous vintage piece to my Mother In Law for Mothers Day! I bought this hat on a whim and would love to get feedback about the Era and what the hat itself is identified as. Any help would be awesome!

Hi,

What a sweet hat and a great box. I think the box is older than the hat. The box would date from the very late 1940s to late 1950s..maybe early 1960s. Not sure when Bendel's switched from the round boxes to the square ones like most shops did at the time. The hat looks early 1960s to me. I would call it a veiled ring hat, or perhaps a whimsie. It is a lovely color.

Does the hat have the Bendel label?

Hi! The hat has a Bendel label and I have googled looking for another one or similar and cant find one!!

Also its all stitched no glue holding anything together? Not sure if that helps..lol
