Henry White of Dublin suit? - 1950s or 1960s?

Hello everyone!

When I first found this piece, I thought 60s, and when searching for Henry White Dublin on Google, everything I found was from the 60s. However, when I put it on my mannequin I thought maybe very early 60s or 50s? Then when researching Henry White I found a website saying that he's been designing since the 30s. So I'm interested to know.

thanks everyone!

i initially thought 80s but then the label still looked quite old, and i know some firms were still using old font labels into the 70s but not the 80s. also it has dry clean only which probably wouldn't have been on there on a 50s suit, maybe not 60s either. so i'm guessing 70s as well.

I'm seeing 70s as well - the herringbone tweed, beige colour, tailored but not overly structured jacket, dry clean tag… it looks a lot like what Ralph Lauren was doing in 1977-79ish

The length of the skirt is what made me think 70's. I also have an irish tweed suit with the same cut - that neck too.

I can see 70s. I'm surprised though, because the lot of clothes I got were all early 1960s, except this one!
Thanks everyone!

here is another thought! it may not be a suit!!! i have had several collections in the past where someone has bought a jacket, two different style skirts and a waistcoat. they had bought them at different times but from the same source. i can see that skirt from the 70s with a waistcoat and boots, and the jacket with a different style skirt. just a possibility!
