is anyone familiar with this brand? it's on an Alligator belt, also marked Pat.Pend, I'm thinking 40s or 50s

The only "hercules" brand that I know was made by Sears until the early 60s. They made alot of work shirts and overalls. I wasn't aware that they made belts.
