Here's a silly question. How do I know what number my Levi's are?

Yes, I know nothing when it comes to denim. Been looking over the denim workshop from last summer and am stuck on a very silly question.

I need to buy some new ones as my old favourites are literally falling apart at the seams, and while I continue to wear them I would like to have a pair 'in hand' for the day when they are no longer decent!

I just don't know how to search for them, or what 'number' Levi they are.

I am sure they're repro (or at least more modern) flares, but being a girl that buys everything secondhand I don't really know when they are from originally or where to get more!

Orange tab with little 'e', and the 'r' in a circle

Number on back tag is 522-0217 . Does that make them 522's? Think they are mens jeans, w30 L32 (just incase you have a pair!)

Back of button rivety thing is stamped with 347. So maybe are they 347's? I am CONFUSED!

Thank you in advance.... :BAGUSE:

There is a vintage shop in York which has piles of S/H Jeans. I would have to dig out the address if you get really do get stuck
I think Senti would know it!

If you're wearing pretty old Levis, be prepared for fabric shock when you start wearing new ones. They changed their formulas, I think. The cotton just doesn't feel as good as it used to, lighter weight and thinner, like they thinned the mix or blend in something of a lighter fiber...although they still say 100% cotton.
I had several pairs that got me through college and well after. When they finally wore out I was sooooo sad. The new ones just aren't the same, and don't seem to last as long before something goes awry.

When word leaked out that Levi was outsourcing the manufacture of their jeans, I stocked up on my 501s. I cannot imagine life without them!

My guess is that they are 522s, but don't know what the second number means.
