Oh thank you! I stared at the first two letters forever trying to decide lol! Do you know anything about the pattern and why it says hermes or maybe how Gloria Vanderbilt put their name on her design?

Do you think it's vintage? From the setting I found it in I believe it is annnnd it had that authentic "sweet old lady" I wouldn't say stench but you guys now that smell I'm sure :)

I agree the tag looks modern and after looking up her name I don't know yalls opinions would be so helpful :)

Yes ^^. Hermès does have a ready to wear division and this print may have been licensed to Gloria Vanderbilt for use.

Have yall ever seen anymore designs with this label where she used a licensed pattern from hermés? I did find this jacket sold on etsy after yall told me what the label said but that's all I've really found. Just wanted some info for future listing and reassurance this wasn't a knock off or something of that case since it's polyester it threw me off a bit. I figured it was some sort of license deal just couldn't understand why it wasn't silk! :) would yall say it's maybe 80s?

Hmmm... when were "silk" or fancy bomber jackets a big thing? I know my mom made me one, same shape, also black background with some floral pattern, but it was a panné velvet. I seem to remember they were all the rage then, everybody had one. Though until it filtered down to me it may have taken some time... ca. 19990/1991 I'd say it was that I got mine. This was just when I was starting to get an idea of what was actually fashionable as a kid. My mom has the family photo albums, otherwise I could verify by that - there must be pics of me in this.

I remember wearing and seeing lots of jackets like this during the 90s. In fact my mom wore jackets and windbreakers that were similar to this often then and she actually still wears them today when it gets cool. I think if you google 90s jackets a lot of similar styles will come up through image results.

If you search in the Trademark database (just google TESS, it's the second hit) there is an entry for a similar if not the same Gloria Vanderbilt text that was applied for Trademark in 1991. It doesn't have the "Activewear" mark underneath, but that's a good benchmark. It's possible this label originated a little before or after, and unless you can find specific information about the licensing of the Hermés print, I would say that this can be considered vintage in good faith, if you go by Etsy's 20 years or older guidelines. Very cute jacket and great photos too!
