Hinged Rhinestone Comb Vintage or not?

What say you? Vintage or new retro look? Signed KTE or perhaps KTF, the hinge shows some age but it may just have been mistreated.

Can you get a better image of the signature? It looks very much like KTF but I've never seen or heard of them doing combs - but it's possible.

A friend of mine is a MAJOR Trifari collector so if we confirm that it is KTF, please let me know where you list it.

Are the teeth metal? Is there a spring in the hinge? re the butterflies pot metal or something nicer?
