Hitoshi Tamura dress questions

I think this dress is kinda cool...guess that's why I bought it.:)

Label=Hitoshi Tamura
Side tag reads Hitoshi Tamura International, 100% polyester, made in Japan, chirimen is a delicate fabric, hand dyed.

Questions:
1. Is it a modern dress?
2. Anyone know anything about Hitoshi Tamura or the fabric chirimen?
3. What is that on the dress? A bullseye?

TIA

I have found a lot of luck using the search engine Vivisimo that Sue B. first mentioned. Now its "Clusty the clustering search engine" at clusty.com.

I found out that Hitoshi Tamura is a clothing store in new york, and the contact info is:
Hitoshi Tamura New York Ltd
838 Madison Avenue - New York, NY

I had seen a lot of graphic type of things from japan in the late 80s and early 90s. My husband had some interesting ties. This could be more recent, or could be older. Maybe they would help you determine the age if you asked if they had a brochure on their current line, or sent them a letter with photos to ask what year it was from.

Vivisimo is a wonderful search engine and definitely saves time from weeding through pages on Google.

Karen, this is wonderful! The navy/green colour combo is great and I like the draping of the skirt also.

a granny smith apple floating in a vat for a halloween apple bobbing contest with its stem sticking up...really a stick as it will be dunked in caramel and coated in nuts later.

Sorry!

It is intriguing!
