Hobble skirts

Since there seem to be few choices, condition is most important. One skirt is for a museum display so any size/material. It would be nice if the other skirt/outfit was large enough for someone to wear as our club puts on vintage style shows. We can manage a size 6 if necessary. Hope that helps.

That's a good question. Ideally, I would prefer the truer hobble skirt from the early 1900's, but since so few survived I extended the time frame to the 1920's - 30's in case someone still used that style. I know of a wedding dress, for instance, from the 20's/30's with a hobble skirt. I don't want something from the 40's or more recent unless there are no other options. One of the skirts is for a private museum dedicated to the Wright brothers. Hope that helps. Nora

Uh Oh.... I hope you don't want the hobble skirt to illustrate that urban myth about the hobble skirt being invented by some woman who tied her skirts to get into an aeroplane - which was also supposed to be the inspiration for the old coke bottle design...
