Being disorganised I have just got around to sorting out the pictures from Portugal and have been back a few days now but I thought I'd share anyway!
This is in the courtyard of where we stayed in Carrapateira, which is on the West Algarve coast. The views where lovely, and it was a really nice little village. The world cup started while we where over and we asked if it would be OK to watch the Portugal game in the little Portuguese social club in the village square.. which it was, and so we did and cheered for Portugal (of course). Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, and it's one of the friendliest places I've been.
And here's me and my posing child on a boat trip round Lagos.. We'd just been on a rather choppy ride hence the hair!
Anyway I know how dull it can be to look through other people's holiday pictures (especially when you're stuck in an office/study.. or it's someone you don't know!) so I'll leave it there, but thought I'd just share those two. If anyone fancies a trip over we rented from English friends who live there (next door to the apartments), at www.oceanviewapartments.net
It was actually very useful to have an English speaker to help me out with the language. Reads like Spanish but sounds Russian to me! I found it quite difficult but I did try hard to speak it.. Finlay thought talking in Portuguese was wonderful and said hello and goodbye to almost every one he met, which was pretty amusing.
Right, enough waffling - I still have holiday washing to get through!
