Holly Harp Dress Help!

Hi all- I wanted to see what ya'll thought about dates on this dress since there is such variety in the labels in the label resources. If we can pin point it I'll add it to the resource (as well as the Bergdorf's label). I'm thinking early 80s. Also, any advice on price would be much appreciated because I haven't found any real collectors items before! Thanks again to all of ya'll!

From what I have read here and elsewhere, Holly Harp only designed until the early 90s (she died in '95 of cancer at the age of 55). Plus, from my experience the "Made in U.S.A" paper-y feeling tags are a good sign of the 80s- though I don't have nearly as much experience with this as the rest of ya'll. Thanks!

I know the style looks 90s- but from my research all of her designs have a similar feel and style, starting in the 60s. She only designed until the early 90s and died in '95 (her obituary can be found in the NYTimes).

Wondering if anyone knows if the label continued after her death? By what I've read, it didn't. Your label matches the one for the 80s in our resource:

But we don't have a copy of a label for the 90s; so we don't know if the label was changed again at a later date.

The floating cover for the ensemble has an 80s feel, but I see 90s for the dress, too. Perhaps this was the template that everyone else copied later in the 90s???

It's certainly a lovely set.

Thanks Deborah! I have looked at most of the Holly Harp dresses that are on sale elsewhere on the internet and almost all of them are layered chiffon with the same floaty styles. Apparently Holly was averse to structure! Its making it really hard for me to date this dress set since all of her items are sort of timeless.

You are so right about her aversion to structure, and the continuation of the basic styles. Here is a 70's floaty chiffon top, in my collection:

That Bergdorf's label just looks "newer" to me, as in 90's, but I could be convinced of 80's, I'd think.

Awesome top! I'm very jealous!!

Thanks for the tip about the Bergdorf's label, I was hoping that could be helpful. Here is the care label, which looks very early 80s to me.
